History Of
Little Jon Memorial Park
30-Acres of land was
purchased specifically for and in memory of Jonathan James Howe by his
grandparents, Alvin and Jean Howe. Jon was born in 1994 and was
lost to those who love him in 2003 in an accident while riding on a
golf cart. Jon was a very happy and energetic little boy who
loved parks and playing with other children. He played the piano,
and enjoyed going to church and church functions with his
grandma. He felt closest to his grandpa while riding in the dump
trucks and watching him build roads. Jon used to play on the land
that is now the location of Little Jon Memorial Park and the "Wall That
Love Built".

About Little Jon
Memorial Park
Little Jon Memorial Park is
a nonprofit, tax exempt corporation. The park lives by donations
alone. Donations are welcome in the form of money, equipment,
helping hands, and word of mouth advertising. All of these things
are needed and greatly appreciated!
Little Jon Memorial Park offers 9-cabins with a shower
house in support of those suffering from cancer and those that have
survived cancer. There is plenty of picnic and playground area,
as well as ball diamonds and soccer fields. There is a walking
path, and soon we hope to add a BMX bike track. The cabins can be
rented for family gatherings, reunions or just a weekend get away. The
proceeds go toward the up keep of the park.
